Jacks Ovens Head Chef Daniel McKnight

Daniel McKnight is the owner of Jack Ovens so here is a little bit about him.

When I was younger, my dad had a cafe and I would go and help him out at weekends.  Well, I say help out, I burnt the toast!  So I think it came as a surprise to everyone when I joined the R.A.F as a chef. After passing all the training to get in the R.A.F I started my R.A.F career at CTS Catering School at R.A.F Halton. Overcoming every obstacle I came across, which lead to my first award - Apprentice chef of the year. From there on I went to my first posting at R.A.F Benson as a LAC, when the fun started. Within four months I had been promoted and won a gold medal for open pasta. After winning gold, I did endless competitions, winning gold and silver medals for an array of dishes. I was lucky enough to join the buffet team when I was posted to R.A.F Coningsby. I also did tours in Norway, the Falklands, Africa and Italy.

From working in the arctic conditions to the extreme heat of Kenya to cooking for V.I.P (Royalty and celebrities).

We can cater for any event.
